  • The third SBS plant at LCY Chemical Huizhou Site began production.

The R&D Center in Nanzi, Kaohsiung broke ground.

Kaohsiung Siaogong Site's SEBS line began mass production.

TPSi Corp. starts producing polysilicon.

  • Zhenjiang LCY General Chemical's expansion of Methyl Isobuytl Ketone plant was completed and production began.
  • The second SBS plant at LCY Chemical Huizhou Site began production.

Began production of SBS plant in Huizhou, China

Sets up joint venture Polysilicon plant in Taiwan.

Acquired TPP (listed on TSE)that produces PP and derivatives.

2005

  • Zhenjiang LCY GENERAL CHEMICAL CO., LTD. Expansion of Methylal and Paraformaldehyde plants were completed and production began.
  • Zhenjiang LCY GENERAL CHEMICAL CO Formaldehyde plant expanded and began trail run.
  • The Iso-Propyl Alcohol Plant at LCY Chemical Kaohsiung Linyuan Site completed the expansion and began production.
  • Kaohsiung Siaogang Site of LCY Chemical obtained ISO 14001:2004 certification.
  • LCY Elastomers L.P. SBS Plant completed the expansion and began Production.
  • Established the SBS plant in Huizhou and signed a long-term purchase and supply agreement with CSPS for the supply of Styrene and Butadiene Monomer.
  • Established Huizhou LCY Rubber Corp.
  • Incorporated the SAP Enterprise Resource Planning system.

2004

  • EstablishedLCY Elastomers L.P. in Baytown, Texas , U.S.A.
  • Zhenjiang LCY General Chemical Co., Ltd began the production of Methylal.
  • QAFAC built an Ammonia plant and a second Methanol plant.

  • Established LCY TECHNOLOGY CO.
  • Established Zhenjiang LCY General Chemical Co., Ltd.
  • Established Zhenjiang LCY Warehousing & Storage Co., Ltd.

  • The SBS plant at Kaohsiung Siaogang Site of LCY CHEMICAL completed trial run.
  • Head Office, Kaohsiung Site, Linyuan Site, and Siaogang Site obtained ISO 9002 certification.

  • LCY CHEMICAL Kaohsiung Linyuan LPG storage tanks were completed and began operation.
  • Invested in Qatar Fuel Additive Co. (QAFAC) in Qatar that produces Methanol and MTBE.

The LCY Co., Ltd., Pingtung Site is established to manufacture steel drums, making 50GL drums with the NKK Japan-based machine.

1987

The second Formaldehyde plant at Kaohsiung Site of LCY CHEMICAL began production.

1985

  • The LCY Co., Ltd., Machinery Plant is established to engage mainly in chemical plant design, planning, and construction.
  • LCY Co., Ltd., Pingtung Xinyuan Plant 1 is established to engage mainly in the production of 50% choline chloride as livestock feed additive.

1983

  • The Iso-Propyl Alcohol, Acetone, and Methyl Isobuytl Ketone plants at Kaohsiung Linyuan Site of LCY CHEMICAL began production.
  • The Choline Chloride plant at Kaohsiung Linyuan Site began production.

1982

  • The Hsinchu Methyl Amines and Dimethyl Formamide plants of LCY CHEMICAL began production.
  • Lee Chang Yung Lumber renamed LCY Co., Ltd.

1980

The Hsinchu Dimethyl Sulfate plant of LCY CHEMICAL began production.

1979

  • The Kaohsiung Cianjhen Site of LCY CHEMICAL was established.
  • The Formaldehyde, Dimethyl Ether, Paraformaldehyde and Hexamine plants of LCY CHEMICAL in Hsinchu began production.
  • The Kaohsiung Linyuan Site of LCY CHEMICAL was established.

Strategic pivot to log trade

1959

The predecessor of LCY CHEMICAL CORP is LCY Lumber Co., with offices on Bade Road Section 4, Taipei (currently the LCY GROUP head office).

LCY Lumber engages mainly in the export of plywood. The lumber plant in Taipei is now the headquarters of LCY GROUP.
