Heterophasic (Impact) Copolymer

Heterophasic (impact) copolymer is also called block copolymer. To improve the impact resistance of polypropylene, ethylene-propylene rubber (EPR) is dispersed in the polymer matrix during the polymerization process.

Impact copolymer has good impact resistance at both ambient and low temperatures, making it suitable for cold weather applications. It also exhibits good long-term thermal stability (aging resistance), making it ideal for automotive, motorcycle and appliance applications.
