Thermoplastic Vulcanizates (TPV) is a type of advanced composite materials and part of the thermoplastic elastomer (TPE) family.


LCY's Thermoplastic Vulcanizates offers versatile applications, boasting excellent compression set and high-temperature resistance. TPV applications include extrusion or injection molding for automotive seals, gaskets, door and window seals, and other processed products that require a soft touch.


LCY's Thermoplastic Vulcanizates are available in the following four series:


  • Globalene 1000 Series
  • Globalene 4000 Series
  • ValuPrene Series
  • Globalene Special Series


Our Thermoplastic Vulcanizate products utilize advanced dynamic crosslinking to uniformly disperse ethylene propylene diene monomer (EPDM) particles into the polypropylene base material during production and complete full crosslinking. This process enables the TPV to achieve mechanical and chemical properties comparable to those of thermoset EPDM rubber. TPV is fully recyclable and reusable, effectively reducing waste, cost, and pollution while increasing resource utilization.


Similar to other thermoplastic elastomers, thermoplastic vulcanizates have the combined advantages of rubber and plastic that facilitate easy coloring and offer a diverse range of processing options, paving the way for innovative product designs and expanding the application horizons of the rubber industry.

Features and Benefits

  • The Globalene 1000 Series is the closest to thermoset EPDM rubber in mechanical and chemical properties. The series boasts exceptional properties in permanent compression deformation, aging, and chemical resistance across a broad temperature range.
  • The Globalene Special Series is characterized by customized, high-value products with consistent quality and a wide range of options. This series meets various certifications for different application markets.
  • The Globalene 4000 Series does not require pre-drying and can be used immediately. The white granules are easy to color. The Globalene 4000 Series is suitable for modification and plastic processing such as injection molding and extrusion.
  • The ValuPrene Series is characterized by smooth product surfaces, easy processing, and stable properties. It is also a very cost-effective solution.

Application Scope

TPV products are widely used in automotive applications, such inner/outer belt-line seal (BLS), glass run channel(GRC), cowl vent seal, front and rear splash guard, quarter glass windows, and dust covers

TPV products are widely used in the consumer goods market, including hand tool grips, floor mats, appliance gaskets, shower hoses, and bicycle grips.

TPV products are also extensively utilized in the industrial and construction markets, such as window frame seals and guard/protector strips.
